I've been wanting to do a Day in LA post for a long time now. A few days back, I landed by Prosp, a little antiques store on Beverly Boulevard. That's when I've decided to take my iPhone out and start shooting. The following pictures is just me, walking around the neighborhood and getting carried away with my camera phone.
START WITH A SELFIE (AND A COFFEE)
I took this selfie right after I had a coffee at this little place by Prospr called Shaky Alibi (which was amazeballs). After that, I started poking around Beverly Blvd, checking out all those little shops that looked so cute whenever I'd drive by in my Uber on the way to The Grove.
The window of that cute little antiques shop.
THIS SHOP, I HAVEN'T GONE TO YET
I haven't been to this one, but it looks super cute. Valentine's Day is coming, after all. Enio (my husband) is planning something special for me, but he's being super secretive about it.
WHOOPS, ANOTHER SELFIE
COFFEE FROM SHAKY ALIBI
Pistachio flavor. It was everything I hoped for, and more.
I haven't gone in, so I'm not sure what this shop is all about. All I know is that their shopping window is great for selfies.
I SWEAR, I'M ALMOST DONE
Ok, so I took a lot of those, but I couldn't figure out which one I liked best, so they're ALL here.
A LITTLE SPECIALTY GIFT SHOP
I didn't have any expectations when I came into this shop, but once I got to their wrapping paper section, I started to get excited.
BEAUTIFUL GIFT WRAPPING PAPER FROM ITALY
Once I saw this paper, I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for. I have these giant picture frames at home that I wanted to fit something interesting into, so I'd have something to go with my wall color (pale pink). Using beautiful wrapping paper is an inexpensive way to pimp up your walls. $8.90 per sheet, if I'm correct.
OH, THE HOME DECOR
Beverly Blvd is full of home decor and furniture stores. I'm kinda used to making over old furnishing instead of buying new, but it is a lot of work and sometimes you just feel like buying something and forgetting about it. It almost feels wrong of me to admit it.
A LEBANESE RESTAURANT I WANT TO GO TO
DOMINIQUE ANSEL BAKERY, THE GROVE
At this point, I finally made it to The Grove, on foot and all. A sinfully sweet pastry was my reward, as you might have guessed.
YEP, THAT'S THE ONE
Hey, it has berries in it. It's kinda healthy.
